The referendum results are in for the May 7 Region 14 budget referendum.
Region 14 voters approved the 2013-14 budget at the Tuesday, May 7, referendum: 1,250 to 1,152.

The approved budget reflects a 4.9 percent increase in spending over 2012-13, due in large part to school security upgrades, School Resource Officers (SROs) for each school building and implementation of the new Common Core Standards.
