Midday Budget Turnout Less Than Half A Percent

As of noon Thursday, voter turnout for Woodbury's 2013-14 budget was slow, with only 206 ballots cast halfway through the day.

The noon turnout represents about 0.03 percent of Woodbury's 6,721 registered voters.

"I don't remember it being this slow ever," poll moderator Jane Sandulli said. "Maybe they're just happy."

But turnout is up slightly over last year, when 190 votes had been cast as of noon, 0.03 percent of last year's registered voters.

Polls will be open in the Senior Center until 8 p.m. Thursday night. Check back with Woodbury-Middlebury Patch this evening for the results as they come in.
