Seminar: Beautiful Bounty on a Connecticut Homestead

A hands-on introduction to site assessment, planning and design for a beautiful and sustainable homesite. Walk through an Edible Forest Garden, observe Shitake mushroom growing areas, and see rainwater catchment solutions, among other sustainable systems.
Led by soil scientist and permaculture designer Cynthia Rabinowitz, the group will learn the basics of soil building, composting techniques, growing perennial vegetables and herbs, and growing popular annuals.
