This Week: Student Photo Contest, Bakery Grand Opening

Mark your calendars! Here are a few events scheduled for the week ahead near Woodbury and Middlebury.

Tuesday, December 31

Students: If you're between the ages of 12 and 18, submit your favorite photo from this year's Bethlehem Christmas Town Festival, and be entered to win an iPad 2. The deadline is noon on Tuesday.

The Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, 1 Glen Road, Sandy Hook, will host a special New Year's Eve event that includes a four-course meal, music, dancing, and a champagne toast at midnight. The cost is $60 per person, and reservations are recommended. Please call (203) 491-2030.

Stop by the grand opening of the Middlebury Baking Company (formerly Ovens of France), 590 Middlebury Road, Middlebury.

Friday, January 3

The Woodbury Public Library, 269 Main St. South, Woodbury, will host a "Jar of Stars" origami star making event for grades 6 and up. Star making commences at 3 p.m.
