Kids in grades 2-5 can make Beaded Snowflakes at this month's "Crafternoon" session at the Woodbury Public Library, 269 Main St., Woodbury, at 3:45 p.m.

Get moving with a free Zumba Fitness class at the Old Town Hall, 5 Mountain Road, Woodbury, at 7:30 p.m. No experience necessary.

Wednesday, January 15

Weigh in on the Southbury movie theater proposal at the public hearing tonight at Pomperaug High School, 234 Judd Road, Southbury, at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, January 16

Certified Personal Trainer and nutrition expert Tammy MacAdams will host a free discussion entitled "Recommit to Be Fit" at the Middlebury Public Library, 30 Crest Road, Middlebury, at 6:45 p.m. Pre-registration is required; please call the library at  (203) 758-2634.

The 3rd Annual Pasta Dinner to benefit the Oxford Animal Shelter takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1284 Strongtown Road, Southbury, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, and includes pasta, salad, bread, dessert, coffee, and soda.

The Horgan Academy of Irish Dance, 198 Meadow St., Route 63, Naugatuck, is accepting new students who wish to be prepared for St. Patrick's Day, which is just 60 days away!
