Marionette Show, Jingle Jam Scheduled for This Week

Mark your calendars! Here are a few events scheduled for the week ahead in Woodbury and Middlebury.

Tuesday, December 10

The North Congregational Church, 11 Main St. North, Woodbury, will offer the "It's a Small World After All" artisan marketplace from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The purchase of specially crafted gifts such as scarves and jewelry will benefit charities in several countries including Cambodia. Bangladesh, and Africa.

The Tanglewood Marionettes present "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Middlebury Public Library, 30 Crest Road, Middlebury, at 6:30 p.m. The event is free, but reservations are required. Please call (203)-758-2634 for more information.

Wednesday, December 11


StudioZ62, 62 Church Street, Naugatuck, will hold a 90-minute Zumba dance class "Jingle Jam" at 6 p.m. to benefit 15 area teens in need. Admission is one unwrapped gift suitable for a teen girl or teen boy.

Thursday, December 12

The Woodbury Public Library, 269 Main St. South, Woodbury, will host an open forum discussion entitled "Equality, Humility, and the American Founders," led by David Schultz. Public participation is welcome.

The Middlebury Public Library, 30 Crest Road, Middlebury, will host a Mystery Book Discussion at 6 p.m. This month's book is "The Christmas Thief" by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark. New members are invited to join.
