Tom Archie of was named Man of the Year for his work with the Alex Archie Foundation, according to the Lax Lessons' post on Connecticut's finest.
The Alex Archie Foundation was established to honor Alex's love for lacrosse, his athleticism and his sportsmanship, according to the Alex Archie Foundation website.

"He enjoyed life and lacrosse and the mission of the foundation is to help other young lacrosse players to fulfill their dreams," the website stated.
The Success of Connecticut's Lacrosse Players
the Class M state champions, dominated the Connecticut All-America team by placing four players on it. Case Matheis is a repeat selection after scoring 56 goals and dishing out 43 assists. The Duke-bound senior received plenty of help on the offensive end from midfielder Henry West who pumped in 40 goals for the Blue Wave. Also earning spots on the All-American team for Darien are defenseman, Tony Britton, who will be attending Cornell, and long-stick midfielder, Corey Eppley.
the state champions in Class L and voted Connecticut's team of the year, had three players earn All-American honors, including Matthew Brophy. Brophy, who had four goals in the Jesuits' 8-6 victory over Ridgefield in the state championship game, will prep at Deerfield Academy next year. He was named Connecticut's Player of the Year over Matheis, who won the honor in 2011. Kevin Brown and Andrew Halton, a pair of juniors at Prep, also received All-American status.
Sean Wilkinson of earned a spot on the team after scoring 40 goals while adding 50 assists for the Tigers this season. Wilkinson, a senior attack, is set to attend Holy Cross in the fall.
Andrew D'Antonio, who had a spectacular year for the was one of five juniors named to the All-American team. He was an offensive force playing attack for the Norwalk-based school.
, the state champions in Class S, placed two players on the team in Nolan Stauffer (Attack) and Michael Mattson (Midfield). John Distler was named Connecticut Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
Kevin Adams, who scored 51 goals for in 2012, was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year among lacrosse players in the state.
