Juveniles Charged With Disorderly Conduct After Exposing Themselves in Middlebury

Stonington baseball players were on team bus after leaving Nonnewaug High School.

Three Stonington High School baseball players were charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly making inappropriate gestures - including exposing themselves - to a motorist Wednesday afternoon.

The incident allegedly occurred aboard the team bus on Interstate 84 near exit 15 at the Middlebury and Southbury town lines. The team was on Interstate 84 traveling to the Class M state championships.

According to State Trooper First Class Kick of Troop 'A' in Southbury, at least one motorist called to complain about the behavior of three Stonington High School students and wanted to pursue the complaint. Kick said the bus was stopped by police just off exit 15 in Middlebury and citations were issued to three juveniles, who will have to appear in court.

The names of the three students have not been released.

The Stonington High School baseball team won its second straight Class M state championship game Wednesday beating Nonewaug 7-6. The play St. Joseph in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
