Wildflower Walk on the Botany Trail

Naturalist Carol Gracie will lead a walk and discuss "Wildflowers of the Botany Trail" at Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust, 5 Church Hill Road in Woodbury on May 10 at 11:00 a.m. Developed by the Pomperaug Garden Club, the award-winning Botany Trail at Flanders is home to more than 250 species of native wildflowers, ferns, trees and shrubs.

Carol Gracie organizes and leads international natural history tours for The New York Botanical Garden. Her most recent project, "Wildflowers in the Field and Forest: the Northeast", co-authored with Steve Clements, was published in 2006. Carol volunteers with the CT Plant Conservation Volunteers and is on the board of the Bedford Audubon Society.
