South-West Conference Vows Support to Newtown

SWC says all accommodations will be made involving scheduling and rescheduling of athletic events involving Newtown High School.

 

On behalf of all our member school principals, athletic directors, coaches, and student-athletes, the South-West Conference extends its deepest sympathy and pledges its unwavering support for the families and victims touched by the tragic events of Friday, Dec. 14, at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The administrations, staffs and students that comprise the 16 member schools of the South-West Conference extend their heartfelt prayers and condolences to all those affected and touched by the loss of 20 beautiful children and six caring and loving educators in Newtown.  The South-West Conference will do everything in its power to support its sister school, Newtown High School, in NHS’s efforts to return to normalcy over the coming days, weeks and months.

As a first step in support of the coaches and student-athletes at Newtown High School, we know that all SWC member schools will fully cooperate with any and all requests and accommodations pertaining to the scheduling and rescheduling of athletic events involving Newtown High School teams.
