Woodbury School Resource Officers Will Be Sworn in This Week
Region 14 to get SROs in every school this school year.
The swearing in of the newly hired School Resource Officers will take place later this week in Woodbury.
Officers will be on duty at each of the Regional 14 schools at the beginning of the school year. The primary duties of the Resource Officers are to maintain school safety, security and order, and to enforce laws within their assigned school, according to First Selectman Gerald Stomski.
The public is welcome to attend the ceremony on Wednesday, August 21 at 7 p.m. in the Shove Conference Room, 281 Main Street South, Woodbury.
