According to a press release just sent from Region 14 schools:
"All Region 14 evening school activities scheduled for January 6, 2014 are CANCELLED. This includes tonight’s meeting of the Region 14 Board of Education, and the committee meeting. All Region 14 evening activities have been CANCELLED due to concerns about road conditions."
The National Weather Service forecast says temperatures Monday evening will quickly plummet, resulting in icy driving conditions throughout the night.
A Wind Chill Advisory is also in effect until Wednesday morning, with gusts of 30 mph expected.
