Composting with Worms by Jean Scialabba

Join us Tuesday, October 16th at 6:00, at the Middlebury Public Library to learn how to compost with worms. This free program sponsored by the Friends of Middlebury Library will offer composting advice about “red wigglers” with Jean Scialabba. Jean lives in Ledyard, CT and for thirty years has been composting with worms and giving classes on the subject to people of all ages. She loves to introduce her “red wigglers” and share with everyone what an important job they have. She will tell us about the technique of indoor composting and how to reuse our kitchen waste so that it is turned into “liquid gold”. She always brings a few hundred of her friends so that anyone who would like to have a hands-on experience can do so. She will also bring some ideas on how she has gotten creative with container gardening. This is a program for all ages, but please pre-register at the Middlebury Library, or call the library to register at 203-758-2634.
