Westover Music Groups Perform at St. John the Divine

Three of Westover School’s singing groups performed at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City on Sunday, February 16th.

The concert featured music performed by the Westover Glee Club and Chamber Choir, directed by Robert Havery, and the Westover Gospel Singers, directed by Michael Brown. The program featured choral music by Casals, Mendelssohn, Mozart, and other composers, as well as Gospel songs.

The Westover Glee Club has performed several concerts in St. John the Divine, as well as concerts in cathedrals in Washington, DC; London and Ely, Great Britain; Reims, France; Rome and Milan, Italy; Salzburg, Austria; and Prague, the Czech Republic.

Westover is a selective boarding and day school in Middlebury, Connecticut, with 205 students in grades 9-12 from 17 states and 20 countries. The School offers its students more than 20 Advanced Placement courses as well as signature programs in science, engineering, art history, and music.
