Woodbury Midday Voter Count: Poll Worker Says Turnout is Terrible

Polls are open for the Woodbury town budget referendum from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. today — Thursday, May 31.


As of noon today — Thursday, May 31, turnout in the Woodbury town budget referendum was 2.8-percent, according to poll worker Jane Sandulli.

At 11 a.m., 144 people voted and the noontime count recorded 190 votes.

"Hopefully it will pick up," said Sandulli.

If more people don't vote, they allow a small group to set the mill rate. Looks like voters don't care about their property taxes.
