Students Sought for Youth Work Force Program

The six-week program begins in the summer.

 

The town of Woodbury is looking for students between the ages of 16 to 22 years old to participate again this year in the town's Youth Work Force Program.

The Youth Work Force Program is a six week summer work program initiative that provides area youth with summer job opportunities. It provides candidates with an introduction into the fields of environmental science, ecology, earth science, agronomy, geology and marine biology.

Students will be working in , planting trees and shrubs creating wetland buffers, marking and creating walking trails, restoring athletic field, along with other related duties.

It is anticipated that the workers will commence work the first week of July and end the second week in August.

The Youth Work Force Program is a privately funded program. It is funded through grants, private donations received by individuals and area civic groups and businesses.
