Land Needed for Middlebury Dog Park

Land is needed before fundraising can commence.

Town officials and members of a dog park committee are looking for land to house the proposed facility, the Waterbury Republican-American reports.
Edward V. Bioksk Jr., who owes the town property taxes, has offered a four acre and a ten acre parcel he owns to the town as long as his tax debt is forgiven, the Republican-American reports.
But the four acre parcel contains wetlands and is near Interstate 84.
Town officials are also considering asking Timex to donate land or money for the facility. A site is needed before serious fundraising can commence.
