6th Annual Washington, D.C. High School Student Internship Program-Final opportunity to apply

The Woodbury Democratic Town Committee Consortium of the 32nd State Senate District is pleased to invite interested 32nd District students who will be entering their senior or junior year of high school in fall 2012 to apply for a Washington, D.C. Internship Program to be held June 25 through June 28, 2012. The 32nd State Senate District includes the towns of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, and Woodbury.  Participating Democratic Town Committees may support the students by providing partial funding. The participating students will pay for their transportation and the unfunded portion of the trip accommodations.

 

Highlights of the trip will include visiting Congressman Murphy’s and Senator Blumenthal’s offices, attending Congressional and Senate Committee hearings, and visiting the House and Senate Galleries. Briefings at the DNC and State Department will also be scheduled. Sightseeing will include Monuments, the Smithsonian museums, the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and other points of interest.
