Campaign Notebook: 'Left and Right' Attack Murphy

Daily news and updates on the political races throughout Connecticut.

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): The candidate’s camp blasted an editorial in the Norwich Bulletin that criticized McMahon for refusing to meet with any newspaper editorial boards. Campaign manager Corey Bliss wrote in a letter that she’s refusing to meet with the newspapers because, “she has chosen to run a grassroots campaign that involves taking her message directly to each and every voter.”

Chris Murphy (D): A story in the Hartford Courant reports on how Republicans and Democrats seeking the Senate are both criticizing Murphy in the election.

Fifth District

There’s a poll asking fifth district voters their thoughts on the candidates, including Elizabeth Etsy, Dan Roberti, Chris Donovan, Lisa Wilson-Foley and Andrew Roraback. It’s uncertain who is behind the poll, reports the Register Citizen, and if the results will ever be released.
