Middlebury Absentee Ballots Available: November 2012 Election

In need of an absentee ballot? The Middlebury town clerk released the following information.

 

Absentee ballots are available for the November 6, 2012 election.

Electors are eligible to vote by absentee ballot for the following reasons:

  • Active service in the Armed Forces
  • Absence from town during all of the hours of voting
  • Illness
  • Religious tenets forbidding secular activity on the day of the election
  • Duties as an election official at a different polling place
  • Physical disability.

Absentee ballots may be obtained from the either by mail or in person.

An application must be filled out and received before an absentee ballot can be issued.

Applications are available at the town clerk’s office or can be downloaded from the Secretary of the State’s website at www.sots.ct.gov, under Elections and Voting.

The Town Clerk’s regular hours are Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone with questions may call the Town Clerk’s office at 203-758-2557.

In addition to our regular hours, the Town Clerk’s office will be open to issue absentee ballots on Saturday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday, October 30, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
