Woman Arrested in Alleged Middlebury Home Invasion

Two tips from the public led police to the woman. Police say an additional arrest is forthcoming.

A Naugatuck firefighter was on his way to work yesterday — Thursday, Oct. 11— and observed a white van driving erratically. The van had a power wash logo on it with a telephone number that began with "203."

Little did the firefighter know that later on, he would be giving that information to local police officers as a tip that would eventually lead police to make an arrest in an alleged home invasion case in Middlebury.

"The power wash company who we wish not to identify cooperated with police and police actually were able to seize the van which [we] know was missing the power wash signs from it and now had a stolen marker plate on it."
