Report: Woodbury Man's Arrest Connected to Crash That Killed Two Young Men

Nearly a year after two young men were killed in a car crash in Woodbury, state police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old in connection with the accident.

Aidan Panagrosso, of Woodbury, was charged with reckless driving, illegal racing on the highway and reckless endangerment, NBC Connecticut reports.

It wasn't immediately clear what role Panagrosso allegedly played in the crash, on June 4, 2013.

Police said the crash involved one car, a 2003 Volkswagon Jetta. Nicholas Aleia, 19, of Bethlehem, was driving, and David James Metcalf, 21, of Woodbury, was in the front passenger's seat.

The two Nonnewaug High School graduates were killed when the Jetta crashed and caught fire around 10:30 p.m., on Route 317 (Good Hill Road), near Westside Road.

NBC reports that Panagrosso is scheduled to appear in court May 21.
