Report: CT Woman's Car Connected to U.S. Capitol Shooting

The vehicle was registered to a Stamford woman, according to NBC.

A car connected to this afternoon's shooting at the U.S. Capitol building is registered to a Stamford woman born in 1979, according to an NBC News report.

The unidentified woman reportedly led police on a high-speed chase after ramming a gate to the White House, police told Georgetown Patch. There was a child in the car at the time, according to multiple news reports. The child was believed to be unharmed.

Connecticut's Congressional delegation was also safe following the afternoon shooting that put the Capitol in a temporary lockdown.
