Pomperaug High Student, Recent Grad Killed in Car Crash

Charlie M. Campoverde and Aryana J. Youngquist were killed in an accident on Interstate 84 in Southington.

Two young Southbury residents were killed Saturday morning when their car reportedly crashed into a tractor trailer parked on the shoulder of Interstate 84 in Southington.

The victims were identified by police as Charlie M. Campoverde, 20, and Aryana J. Youngquist, 17, according to a report by the Hartford Courant.


Campoverde was the driver and Youngquist was a passenger, the Courant reports, citing a police report for the accident, which took place at about 7 a.m. on Sept. 14. The occupants of the tractor trailer, who were sleeping at the time, were uninjured, according to the Courant.

Connecticut State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
