Police: Woodbury Woman in Crash Had Suspended License

Vehicle hit metal guardrail off Route 47 in Woodbury.

Cynthia McCann-Mooney, 55, of Woodbury, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and making a restricted turn on July 14 at approximately 12:09 p.m.

According to police, McCann-Mooney was traveling west on Route 47 when her car went off the right shoulder of Hoop Pole Hill Road and struck a metal beam guardrail. The driver was not injured, but the car sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

After a brief investigation it was determined that McCann-Mooney’s drivers license was under suspension. She was released and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 31.
