Police: Woodbury Parents Hosted Underage Drinking Party

Officers were made aware of the party when juveniles needed medical assistance.

A Woodbury couple is facing charges after police say they hosted a drinking party for minors.

Joanne Lehning, 47, of Woodbury, and William Lehning, 48, of Woodbury were charged with allowing minors to possess alcohol on August 3 at approximately 11:16 p.m.

According to police, officers responded to a call for medical assistance at a residence on Church Hill Road in Woodbury and discovered that the medical issue was caused by an underage drinking party. Joanne and William Lehning, who police say were the homeowners and sponsors of the party, were then taken into custody.

Joanne and William Lehning were released on $500 non-surety bond and are scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 20.
