The refund was reportedly in error and the Connecticut man has yet to return the money to the IRS.

 

Two men were caught trying to steal scrap metal from a business in Southbury before someone who works at the business caught and chased them into Oxford, where they dumped the car and then led police on a chase.

A Monroe driver was arrested for DUI Wednesday evening after officers responding to an accident with evading saw him driving his Honda Civic with heavy front-end damage, dragging the front bumper under the car as he went. The driver did not respond to the police car's lights and sirens, according to police, who said he continued on at a slow rate of speed, pulled into his driveway and opened the garage door.
