Middlebury Police: A Tale of Coyotes, Hawks & Labradoodles
In July, two Middlebury residents reported some wild critters hanging around their homes.
Coyote Sighting
A coyote was seen near the edge of the woods near 1 Stevens Rd., Middlebury, on July 26, according to .
The caller said they have cats that are all indoor cats. Police said the caller intends to contact the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
This isn't the first time Middlebury residents witnessed coyote sightings.

Hawk Hangs Out in Porch
A red-tailed hawk broke through the screen on a porch belonging to Marybeth Aquaiva, 80 Gleneagle Rd., Middlebury, and hid behind a chair on July 26.
The porch door was left open for the bird to find its way out. When police arrived, the hawk was no longer on the porch.
Lost Labradoodle
Sherry Benson of 32 White Oak Rd., Middlebury, reported a lost labradoodle on July 26.
