Middlebury Man Charged With Sexual Assault

After receiving a complaint by Kenneth J. Berry's former live-in companion, Middlebury police arrested Berry, 25, of 320 Leonard Rd., Middlebury, on the following charges:

• Sexual Assault in a Spousal or Cohabiting Relationship
• Unlawful Restraint in the First Degree

The arrest by Sgt. John Desmarais and Officer Ed Demers took place around 7:07 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.

said the alleged incident took place on August 31, but the complaint was not filed until last week. 

Berry was processed in the usual manner and held on $50,000 bond, according to Lt. Richard Wildman. Berry was later transported to Waterbury Superior Court for arraignment.
