Middlebury Man Charged with Operating a Drug Factory

A Police Task Force uncovered cocaine, narcotics and more in one Middlebury home Tuesday night.

Middlebury Police, along with the CT Probation Department, formed a joint Task Force to search the homes of five people currently on probation and parole Tuesday night.

While most were found to be in compliance, an arrest warrant for probation violation resulted in various charges for Kenneth Cleary, 32, of Middlebury.

According to the police report, a search turned up cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, as well as Suboxone and Lidoderm Lidocaine, both prescription medications which Cleary allegedly had no prescription for.

Cleary was charged with Violation of Probation, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Narcotics, and Operating a Drug Factory.

Cleary was held on bonds totaling $175,000 and arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court Wednesday morning.
