Middlebury homes were broken into on Wednesday, May 16, police said.

are investigating two residential burglaries which occurred during the daytime today —Wednesday, May 16 — according to a press release from Lt. Richard Wildman.

In both burglaries, entry was gained by smashing out rear windows to the homes, Wildman said.

The two burglaries which occurred on May 16 took place in the upper Three Mile Hill Road area and on Upper Whittemore Road. The previous burglary occurred in the Bioski Road area, where again, jewelry was taken.

Anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious or a suspicious vehicle in these areas are asked to call Middlebury Police at 203-577-4028. Residents are also urged to contact police about anyone coming to their doors without good reason or if they see anyone acting suspicious or any suspicious vehicles.
