Marijuana and Paintball Round Up Police Blotter

Two car accidents were also reported.

 

Drug Arrest at High School

A 16-year-old juvenile was caught on grounds in possession of marijuana and in possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, report.

The juvenile was issued an infraction for possession of under five ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While at the high school that same day, Officer Stephen Tokarz reported smelling the odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle. Upon further investigation, Tokarz reported finding drug paraphernalia in a vehicle.

Chaz Fernandes, 18, of 60 Robert Leather Rd., Bethlehem, was issued an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Tokarz investigated both incidences.

Painball Vandalism

Several as yet unnamed suspects were identified in two separate incidences involving paintballs. At approximately 8:58 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, a Grassy Hill Road resident reported orange paintballs shot at the house.

At 1:30 p.m., a resident of Ruffin Road reported paintballs shot at a 2004 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck.

One Car Accident

Police reported that Ryan Shay, 24, of 203 Flanders Rd., was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions after a 10:08 a.m. one car accident Saturday, Jan. 21, on Quassuk Road.

Shay was westbound on Quassuk Road when he began sliding on the snow-covered roadway, police reported. His car left the right-hand shoulder of roadway and struck a wooden structure that held three mailboxes.

There were no reported injuries and no reported witnesses. Officer Tokarz investigated.

Two Vehicle Accident Reported

Antonio Cruz, 63, of 115 Straits Turnpike, Watertown, was issued a written warning for unsafe backing after a 2:39 p.m. car accident involving two vehicles on Saturday, Jan. 21, on Westwood Road.

Also involved was Michael Ross Gentile, 40, of 38 Winston Drive, Washington. Gentile was southbound on Westwood Road.

While backing out of a driveway, Cruz proceeded onto Westwood Road and struck Gentile's car, according to police. There were no reported injuries or witnesses.

Both cars sustained damage and were driven from the scene. Officer Stephen Tokarz investigated.
