Driver Arrested for DUI After Crash Knocks Out Power in Woodbury

After a car crashed into a telephone pole in Woodbury on Father's Day, the driver sustained minor injuries, according to Troop L.


After a during the early morning hours of Father's Day — Sunday, June 17 — Troop L arrested the driver for alleged DUI and failure to drive right.

Homes were without power well into the morning hours of Father's Day.

According to the incident report, Kimberly A. Johnson, 42, of 6040 Richmond Highway, #107, Alexandria, Va., sustained minor injuries after the  12:35 a.m. car accident and was transported to Waterbury Hospital.

She was issued a $500 non-surety bond. Her car was stowed to Main Street Auto, due to the damage.

Johnson was issued a Tuesday, July 3, court date at Waterbury Superior Court.
