Sometimes slicing a watermelon can be against the law, just ask Carmine Cervellino, 49, of Thomaston.
Police say Cervellino is alleged to have stabbed a watermelon with a large butcher knife and left it in the kitchen for a woman to see, the Register Citizen reports.
The woman believed it was a menacing gesture, the paper reports. Police believe Cervellino stabbed the watermelon in a “passive aggressive” manner because he was angry at the woman, the Register Citizen reports.
The man was charged with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.
