Frank Sinatra or Gene Simmons Vs. Rosa DeLauro: 'Who would you vote for?'

A look at the day's comments from Patch account holders in the region.

"Connecticut has a great UFO history to it." -

"Such silly people doing silly things with other people's money. The terrorists have won, they stole the brains of the selectmen. Wonder if they teach this in the schools of New Canaan, not that the School Board is much different ..." -

"I have a question....Hypothetically, if Frank Sinatra or Gene Simmons were to run against Rosa Delauro today...who would you vote for?" -

"That reminds me, are 'delusions of grandeur' covered under Romneycare, Donny?" -

"I guess this person was trying to test the system. He's a lawyer so IMO believe he knew exactly what he was doing and the potential reaction (based on the timing of the shooting in Aurora) people would have. I don't think anyone is really debating his right so much as his judgement in exercising that right. You can be technically within your rights, but to exploit that right is something altogether different."

"Thats one awesome birthday gift .... congrats !!!!" -

"Hello from all of us beneath your ivory tower, Donny. Is it hotter up there? With the all the sanctimony, I mean." -

Frank Sinatra or Gene Simmons Vs. Rosa DeLauro: 'Who would you vote for?' Actually, neither. I’d vote for Wayne Winsley. Here’s just one example why: Rosa DeLauro’s recent introduction of “The Trial and Experimental Studies Transparency Act of 2012” is a blatant—yet typical—example of her predictable pre-election flurry of introduced bills, in a pathetic attempt to make voters think she actually works for a living. This is useless legislation, typical of her “more government interference is better” approach. Why useless? Because there ALREADY is a “transparent” database of over 130,000 trials with locations in 179 countries here: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ So, as is the case with nearly every piece of worthless legislation DeLauro has introduced in her nearly 22 years in office, this bill will never leave committee to see the House floor for a vote. As for Wayne Winsley’s open candidate “forum” on Aug. 9, one can only assume that DeLauro was a no-show because her campaign technique is to hide behind incumbency—and therefore hide from Mr. Winsley—and to talk around issues rather than actually address them and to seek photo ops so she can show off her expensive designer scarf collection. Nevertheless, this didn’t stop Wayne Winsley from addressing attendees’ concerns: http://youtu.be/RrRsgMMGScQ Since DeLauro refuses to debate, a “voters’ debate” can be found here: http://orange.patch.com//blog_posts/delauro-dodge-ball-f5ca86fc
