Oxford power plant revived!?!?!

I'm a new home buyer in the long meadow pond area and have recently found that the GE/Towantic natural gas power plant is back on track to be built! Has anyone heard this? For those who don't know this plant features 2 160 foot towers, burns 80,000,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day and will emit 250 tons of carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide and 25 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOC) per year  200 feet from the middlebury town line and hundreds of homes.  VOC are known cancer causing agents.  These will be released  into the hills surrounding many of the new local homes in the middlebury area. NOt to mention their estimated 700 trucks per day at the construction site over a 2 year period!  The plant is to be located in the woodruff hill industrial park of Oxford which is conveniently devoid of oxford residents but 1150 feet from Middlebury houses and a few thousand from my new home. Is anyone else concerned?!?!?
