Fireworks At Hollow Park

We all read the "threats" from our elected official that unless someone stepped up and paid for the fireworks the town couldn't afford them for the carnival. I heard the fireworks at Hollow Park the other night and asked some people in the know what business stepped up to pay for them.   Nobody seems to be able to answer me.  Then I heard the funding was found by the first selectman.  What account did this come from and why did it suddenly appear?  Who knows?
