America’s Got Talent, 8 p.m., NBC
I know that Piers Morgan’s sourpuss thing is a persona that he puts on, and that in real life when the cameras are off he sits in a comfy chair and crochets afghans for orphans. Even so, we laughed out loud at the sheer and utter delight with which ol’ Piers watched that performing parrot last week, and had to rewind many times to watch him leap from his chair and shout “That’s the most amazing thing I have ever seen!”
The Voice, 9 p.m., NBC
And so we are at two-hour live shows now, and we are still wondering why NBC has decided to air this show so late. They have practically guaranteed nothing but DVR-viewing with this air time, and it is such a family-friendly program. But that is why we are not network executives. We have common sense.
Inside the Actor’s Studio, 8 p.m., Bravo
Tonight, the entire cast of Modern Family. I love this idea. I read an article that said James Lipton almost died doing his prep work for this episode – the most work the man has had to do ever.
