In Memoriam: Angeline Nardozzi, 96

Mrs. Angeline (Albano) Nardozzi, 96, of 52 Doran Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown. She was the widow of Frank Nardozzi.

Angeline was born in Waterbury on January 19, 1917, daughter of the late Antonio and Gelsomina (Vigliotti) Albano. She worked at Metal Fabrication until her retirement in 1982. She was a communicant and longtime member of St. Lucy’s Holy Rosary Society. She was a big fan of the Palace Theater having seen Tony Bennett both prior and after the Palace Renovation Project.

She leaves behind family members including Lorenzo and Maria Vigliotti of Waterbury, Frank and Jillian Vigliotti of Waterbury, Sandy and Jack Senich of Woodbury, Julius Albano of Watertown, Mark Albano of New Jersey, Christopher and Andree Albano of MA, Martin and Maryann Albano of Southington, Gail and Al Raymond of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews of the Nardozzi, Angelillo,Martinelli and LoRusso families.

Angeline’s family would like to thank the staff of Apple Rehab for the comfort, care and compassion given to Angeline during her stay and the VITAS Innovative Hospice Care for the exceptional comfort provided during her last few days.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway to St. Lucy’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
