WAMS High School Chorus Chosen to Perform at CABE Annual Convention

Local music students will appear at CABE Convention

The Waterbury Arts Magnet School (WAMS) High School Chorus has been selected by audition to perform at the Connecticut Association of Board of Education (CABE) Annual Convention. The convention will be held at the Mystic Marriot Hotel in Groton, CT on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 8:30 am. "This is the first time a performing group from a school in Waterbury has been selected and we are very honored to be the first school to represent our district," writes Marianna Vagnini-Dadamo, Co-Director of the WAMS chorus.

The students will leave WAMS at 6:00 am to travel by bus to the hotel in order to be there on time and will be treated to a complimentary breakfast immediately following their performance. The chorus will return immediately to Waterbury because many of the chorus students will be remaining on the bus in order to head to Platt High School in Meriden to audition for the Connecticut Music Educator Association regionals concert. The 2013 CMEA Concert Festival will be held on January 11 and 12 at Maloney High School in Meriden (Snow Date - January 18 and 19.)
