Changes Due to Weather in Theatre and Schools

The effects of the blizzard are STILL being felt

Here are some announcements from both the theatre world and my "day job" in the world of education.

'Beauty and the Beast' at Western School opens tonight.

In the event that there is no school or canceled after school activities on Friday, February 8 then our show for that day will take place on Friday, February 15. If there is a delay or regular day on Friday, February 8 then the play will go on as planned that evening.

Schedule in the event of snow cancelation is as follows:
Friday February 15 4:45 microphoned cast to school. 5:00 chorus to school.

The Friday, 8 performance will take place at 5:30 on February 15.
The February 15 performance will be February 15 at 7:00.

Director Stephanie Colella tells me that their "Feb. 7, 8, and 15th performances are sold out. We have 29 tickets right now for the 14th." So if you hurry, you may be able to snag one of those 29 remaining tickets.

Dear Newington Mainstage Patrons,

Due to the snow and the Governor's closing of the roads, tonight's performance of "The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns" has been CANCELLED. Please read below for details, and note that in order to accommodate as many patrons as possible who had tickets for last night or tonight, we have ADDED a second performance on Sunday (tomorrow) at 7pm, in addition to the already scheduled 2pm matinee.

Since you have tickets to tonight's cancelled performance, we are happy exchange your tickets for either performance tomorrow (2pm or 7pm). Please email NewingtonMainstage@gmail.com as soon as possible to set up an exchange. Be sure to include your name and the performance you’d like to switch to - and we’ll be happy to assist you!

In the event that you cannot attend either of tomorrow's performances, we will gladly honor your tickets towards our spring production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" (April 26-28). We'll even throw in one FREE ticket to "Spelling Bee" for every two "Caps & Gowns" ticket you exchange. If the option of switching to Sunday, or attending "Spelling Bee", does not work for you - we understand, and are willing to issue a refund for your "Caps & Gowns" tickets.

We have heard from many of you already, who either exchanged for tomorrow or put your tickets towards "Spelling Bee". As you can imagine, being a new theatre company, every penny counts; so we appreciate and value your understanding and flexibility in this unfortunate circumstance. This is truly a fantastic show that we’re very proud of, and we’re deeply saddened by any inconvenience this change may cause. Your safety, as well as the safety of our actors & crew, is extremely important to us.
We hope to see you all tomorrow! Stay safe!
