Defining Moments Salon and Barbershop in Middlebury, has collected over 50 dresses during their Second Annual Prom Dress Drive. Partnering with “Princess and the Prom”, a Connecticut non-profit organization that collects donated prom dresses and accessories, Defining Moments hopes to collect 200 dresses for the organization this year.
With all the success they are experiencing, they have decided to extend the dress drive! Defining Moments will now be collecting dresses until March 22, 2013. Dresses can be dropped off at 344 Middlebury Road in Middlebury 7 days a week. All dress sizes are welcomed, and there is a special need for larger prom dresses, sizes 14 and up. All donated dresses are brought to Best Cleaners, a sponsor for Princess and the Prom, and then delivered just in time for the Annual Gown Giveaway April 5, 6 & 7 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Windsor.
Those who donate a dress will receive a voucher for $10 of a special occasion up-do or $5 off a wash, cut and style at the Salon.
