Three Ideas for Family Fun this Weekend

From the Brass City Comic Convention to the Woodbury Faerie Festival and a Pied Piper performance, there are great options for families this weekend.

This Sunday, the 21st, is the Brass City Comic Convention. No need to drive long distances to get your comic fix. Comics, artists, and some workshops. Kids under 10 are free with an adult and that adult only needs to pay 99 cents--or nothing at all if wearing a costume.

Saturday is the Woodbury Faerie Festival presented by Flanders Nature Center and the Woodbury Junior Women's Club. There will be activities for families like gnome bowling and hayrides. There will also be vendors and fairy houses to explore along with live entertainment. Admission is $5 per person over 4 years old or waived when bringing a fairy house.

Head a little further out to see the Pied Piper perform in Danbury by the Fairy Tale Theater. The doors open at the Wooster School at 10:30 am Saturday for craft time and the admission is $5.

Also in Danbuy, see Dr. Phineas' Magical Emporeum puppet show perform The Dragon and the Pepper on both Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm and 3 pm at the Ives Concert Park.  Tickets are available at the gate and cost $15.
