For fishy fun, head over to Settlers Park in Southbury for the Pomperaug River Festival for free from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is free admission and you can make fish prints, build a boat when you bring a clean milk or juice carton, and more crafts. The River Fest will also help attendees to learn how to fly fish.
Another fun, free event is Dinosaur Days at Dinosaur State Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Satuday. Check out live animals, face painting, and crafts.
This weekend is also the Bridgewater Country Fair with rides, vendor tents, great food, and animals.
