For a Rainy Saturday and a Gorgeous Sunday

Some options in case it's raining or it's dry. Just look out of the window and pick something fun.

There are a number of wonderful outdoor events in Connecticut this weekend. Which is wonderful, unless it rains Saturday morning as has been predicted. If you want some place undercover for a morning outing, there are a few indoor outings on Saturday.

If it is time for a new 'do and those luxuriously long tresses are overdue for a major restyling, head to Defining Moments for a special Locks of Love event with a free cut and some refreshment.

This week's Lowe's Build and Grow free activity centers around the popular Madagascar 3 movie by giving kids everything they need to make a Luxury Assault Vehicle driven by the Madagascar Penguins.

Keep your little princess dry and active with a pizza lunch and a visit with a princess at the Pizza with a Princess Party at Fun Factor of Middlebury. Party participants get to play for the whole day.

If Saturday morning is clear, or a light drizzle can't keep you locked up indoors, here are some great options for this weekend. Call ahead to see if the rain postponed or canceled any events.

If music is on the agenda, head to the Woodbury Ski Area Reggae Fest. The Reggae Fest will include live music, food, and arts and crafts.

Spend some time in nature on Saturday morning with a free walk at the Nichols House in Middlebury. Take a look at the homestead and learn about the house that has recently become a project of the Middlebury Historical Society. Another free walk to choose from is a birding walk with the Ansonia Nature Center
