Your Guide to Litchfield County Christmas Tree Farms

At first, I thought it was too early to share info on where you can cut your own Christmas trees in Connecticut. But then, I read a Facebook post from a Shelton farm that said people are already asking when tree cutting begins!

Then friends started making holiday playlists and talking about eggnog so it appears people are already hankering for the holidays — or at the very least, preparing for them! Here’s your list of Christmas tree farms in Litchfield County.

Barkhamsted

• Homegrown Farms
• Opening date: The day after Thanksgiving
• Hours: Fridays (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.); Saturdays (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); and Sundays (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Litchfield

• Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekends; 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays

• Meadowview Tree Farm
• Opening date: Unlisted
• Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday

• Endord Forest
• Opening date: November 30
• Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. During the week, call ahead.

New Hartford

• Birches Pond Farm
• Opening dates: December 7, 8, 14, and 15
• Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Opening date: The day after Thanksgiving
• Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekends; call ahead for weekday visits

New Milford

• Hours: Noon to 4:30 p.m. Fridays; 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays

Plymouth

Thomaston
