Woodbury's Trick or Trunk 2013 Set for Halloween Night

Bring your car and your children to Woodbury's Trick or Trunk event at Hollow Park!

Woodbury's Trick or Trunk was born out of the October snowstorm in 2011, when roads simply were not passable.

The event was such a success that it was brought back in 2012 and the timing was right, since Hurricane Sandy made door-to-door trick-or-treating a challenge that year.

This year, Trick or Trunk is back again and here's what you need to know about this family-friendly event!

Time & Date
6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31

Location
Hollow Park on Hollow Road, Woodbury

What you need to bring

  • A car with a decorated, tricked-out-trunk
  • Lawn chairs
  • Candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters
  • Admission: Non-perishable item for the food bank

Doors open at 5 p.m. If you're decorating your trunk at Hollow Park, Woodbury Parks & Rec asks that you arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. During the hours of 6 to 7:30 p.m., no cars will be permitted to leave due to safety reasons.

Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated trunks!

Organizers ask that people keep it to one car per family so there's ample parking for all who want to attend. If you're not decorating your trunk but would like to contribute a bag of candy for trick-or-treaters, that would be a big help, Parks and Rec Director Jenifer Miller noted on the website.

No walk-ins are allowed and children must be accompanied by adults and adults must be accompanied by children.
