Halloween at the Hurd House

The Hurd House in Woodbury was inhabited by the town's first miller and his son in 1861. The miller's name was John Hurd.

Every year around Halloween time, the Hurd House opens its doors and its hearth to visitors. This year, the Hurd House opened on Saturday, Oct. 26. Guests drank apple cider warmed on the Hurd House hearth, ate freshly popped popcorn and listened to Halloween tales.
