WeedStrong Brewfest Benefits CT Craft Beer Brewer
The WeedStrong Brewfest is taking place today: Sunday, Aug. 18, at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury.
On May 17, Mike Weed suffered a severe stroke and lost the ability to speak and use the right side of his body.
The CT Brewers Guild wanted to help Weed, who is a Connecticut craft beer brewer. WeedStrong will take place at Quassy Amusement Park today — Sunday, Aug. 18 — and will help Weed and his family with their growing medical expenses.
More than 100 varieties of beer are available for tasting at the event. Visit this link to purchase tickets. Cost to attend is $40 plus a $1.40 online processing fee. You can also purchase tickets at the gate, according to the 'Our Friend Mike Weed is a Friend in Need' Facebook page.
