Woodbury Lions Club 33rd Annual Car Show

The Woodbury Lions Club has announced that their 33rd Annual Antique Auto Show will take place on June 5, 2011 at Hollow Park in Woodbury, CT to raise money for their scholarship fund. This fundraiser, which traditionally takes place on the first Sunday of June, attracts over 400 antique and show cars from around the Northeast.

First staged in 1978, the annual car show has grown to into one of the premier events for classic car collectors , being named the “#1 Car Show” by the readers of Connecticut Cruise News magazine. Along with hundreds of antique, stock and custom classic cars, sports cars and hot rods entered into judging for the best of their class, the Car Show features displays by local car dealerships, vendors and food and beverage tents serving hamburgers, hot dogs, pop corn and cotton candy. A DJ plays “cruise music” all day.

 Cars can begin to enter for judging at 9 am, with the first three hundred entries receiving a free dashboard plaque for their car. Everyone else will be admitted starting at 10 am. Admission price is $10 per car, $5 per person, children $1 with those under 12, free. Judging begins at Noon, with trophies being presented at 3pm.
